Information
All homes in the Association are independent having charitable status and governed by their own Board of Trustees.
The homes vary in the care services offered: some residential only and others offering a full range of care including nursing, dementia, respite or rehabilitation and day care. The level of care required will be determined by an assessment carried out by the home before entry.
All of the homes accept local authority supported clients and/or private funded clients. Financial arrangements vary from home to home and you would be advised to enquire at any home their own arrangements. Some homes ask the family for a “third party contribution” for local authority clients to help cover part of the difference between the money which the local authorities pay for care and the real cost.
All homes welcome visits to help you decide if a home is suitable
All homes in England and Wales are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the latest inspection report for each of the homes can be found at www.cqc.org.uk. In Scotland the regulator is the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and inspection reports can be found at www.carecommission.com
